Powers of Ten is a unique video that gives off different experiences depending on the context of the viewer. I personally have seen Powers of ten three different times, the first two times were in high school physics and math classes, followed by the viewing in 103. The first times I saw the video, I was in an environment that promoted math learning and thus the only thing I focused on were the numbers and what they could represent in the work I was doing at the time. In that regard, the Powers of Ten put into perspective, the scale of what the numbers mean in ways that are easy to understand. My viewing of the video in 103 took a different perspective. Instead i focus on the production design of the video, the seamless zoom and the center of what to focus on. The voice over, how in explained size in way everyone can understand, but did so only in the beginning and in term that are common. Over all Powers of Ten is a video that can teach a great deal about film making and math, through its simple explanation of numbers and flawless job of picturing them.
